WHAT IS RAPÉH & WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Rapéh (Originally written as Rapé and pronounced as “ha-peh”) is a sacred plant medicine from the jungle made by the indigenous tribes in the Amazon basin. Rapéh is a powder that looks like ash that is made from tobacco leaves and other herbs from the jungle. This sacred tobacco is called Mapacho and carries the spirit of the Grandfather. This spirit brings protection, connection, removes blockages and healing.

“These customs, practices, KNOWLEDGE, and beliefs in mother earth to provide healing has been with us through our ancestors the entire time. it just needs to be reactivated to elevate our level of consciousness in the diaspora for bipoc (BLACK, INDEGINOUS, PEOPLE of color). SO, I do this in honor of our ancestor who were called savages, beaten, killed, raped, stolen from there lands and tortured FOR OUR beliefs in plant medicine only to now be proven to BE THE healing of the nation by the western sciences. SO, to me equity in psychdelics looks like this creating a space where we are the leaders, healer, and experts for us and by us that the rest of the world should follow as we are the originators of this sacred knowledge.” ……………………………………………………………………………….Gullah geechee empress stephanie
